This book is a collection of 'Some of my favourite Recipes'.
It also contains 'Some Memories' that those recipes evoke when I use them; and my mind goes back to people, places and events in one way or another associated with a particular recipe.
Memories - of long ago, even to the years of my childhood and the farm at Lewinsbrook – and years later, the 'shower recipe tea', my sister-in-law, Ena, gave for me just before we were married; yet also quite recent, in the case of recipes I have acquired in recent times and which have found their way into my 'Favourites".
Perhaps some of the glimpses of life over those years, may stir memories in your minds, those of you who can remember old times and old ways. And may perhaps be of interest to you who are of younger generations.
I hope you enjoy the recipes and the memories or little stories,or the thoughts, attached to them.
