Authors G - L

James Hansen

James Hansen (B.A., Dip.Ed.) is a retired teacher, media worker, bureaucrat, editor and writer who has a particular interest in, and commitment to, traditional English grammar and plain English.

He lives on the Darling Scarp overlooking Perth.

Trudee Hunter

Trudee was born in Hamilton, New Zealand in 1951, and enjoyed a healthy environment of camping, fishing, swimming, ballet and reading.

She trained as a nurse and then married her husband John. Her love of art found the ideal outlet as she learnt his trade of sign-writing and silk-screen printing. Working from home while bringing up their three sons, was her recipe for true fulfillment.

Trudee’s ensuing involvement with Nutrimetics resulted in three international seminars, instilling within her a lasting passion to travel. The family immigrated to Australia in 1988, settling in a patch of paradise called Redcliffe, just north of Brisbane. Twenty years later, they have been blessed with seven awesome grandchildren; the delight of their lives.

Matthew Jacoby

Matthew has a doctorate in philosophy/theology from the University of Melbourne, Australia.

He teaches often on the spirituality of the psalms and his concise commentaries on the settings of the psalms is a feature that is woven through most concert events.

He also co-writes the music and sings the lead vocals for Sons of Korah.

Tess Livingstone

Tess Livingstone works for The Australian newspaper. She is the biographer of Australia’s Cardinal George Pell, and the editor of seven other books – on business, education, theology, and a children’s book. Her work has been published in Australia, the UK and the USA.  She lives in a house called "All Seasons" with her daughter Jacinta, and cats Topsy and Bimbo, who appear as "Mr Waffles and Plum Pudding" in Jacinta's book of that name.

Jacinta Livingstone

For 15 years, Jacinta Kate Livingstone has enjoyed stories, snakes and ladders and snow, once winning a medal for the most interesting fall skiing down Burke Street at Mt Buller. Currently in Year 10 at Brisbane Girls Grammar School, Jacinta finds all her subjects and co-curricular activities - debating, chess, drama and Shakespeare club - “peachy cream’’ and almost as essential as her iPod and movies. Her cats, Bimbo and Topsy (named after Enid Blyton’s pets) were a surprise 10th birthday present when she was in Year 5 at St Kevin’s Primary School, Geebung. Like her, Topsy and Bimbo enjoy home cooking, catnaps and daydreaming in front of the fire in winter.
